the foyble guys
foyble.com is the brainchild of Brian Foy, John Frazier, and Jerry Kaltenbach. Brian thought of the threadviewer during his long commutes to and from work. He told Jerry about it, who added some more ideas. Jerry and Brian pitched it to John, who added his ideas about tools for groups and schools. Brian, John, and Jerry all met in Athens, Ohio, as students of Ohio University.
Brian Foy lives in the suburbs of Chicago, Illinois and works in the healthcare industry. Brian is a father of two boys, a brand new baby girl, and the husband of one fantastic little lady named Juli. He grew up in Columbus Ohio. He graduated from Ohio University in 2000 with a degree in Economics, approximately 11 months after the Y2K bug successfully brought media outlets across the world to their knees. Brian also attended Xavier University in Cincinnati, Ohio, from 2001 until 2003. He received a Masters degree in Health Services Administration for his efforts. He had no particular training in giving, internetting, blogging, or anything else pertaining the to subject matter of this blog or foyble.com before he started it all. But he has seen the faces of the people he has given tiny acts of goodwill, felt the aches and pains of a long days work helping out a friend or family member, and he believes in the power of technology for good, so he knows what it’s all about.
Jerry Kaltenbach is a native of central Ohio slipping away just far enough to complete his undergraduate degree at Ohio University in Athens, Ohio in 1999. Jerry came back to Columbus after college to attend law school and has been a practicing attorney since 2002. Business law is where Jerry spends most of his practice working to get new businesses started, negotiate transactions, and handle their disputes in the boardroom and in the courtroom.
His friendship with Brian led Jerry to foyble when they first discussed it in the summer of 2008 at Jerry’s wedding to his lovely wife, Georgia. Jerry has always been a techie at heart and was thrilled at the prospect of creating and launching foyble, a place where social media and service to the community meet (and have a great time doing it!).

John Frazier is also a native of central Ohio and also completed his undergraduate degree at Ohio University in Athens, Ohio in 1997. John is the Entrepreneurial Veteran of the group. He founded and ran a technology company in 2004, which he sold in the summer of 2009 and started his current company DSTech Consulting. His greatest achievement was convincing his beautiful wife Carrie to marry him and his two daughters. The Frazier family resides in John’s hometown, Westerville, Ohio.
